BEIJING, July 7 (Xinhuanet) -- Visiting Pakistani Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, is scheduled to attend a China-Pakistan Energy Forum in Shanghai over the weekend. Sharif will travel to Shanghai by high speed rail. The two countries aim to deepen their cooperation in the fields of energy and renewable energy development.
On Friday, Premier Li Keqiang met with Sharif. The Pakistani Prime Minister expressed his faith in the developing friendship between Pakistan and China. The two countries have signed a series of agreements covering cooperation in politics, economy, technologies and strategic studies.
Trade between the two countries exceeded 12 billion US dollars last year and Sharif hopes to attract greater Chinese investment in Pakistan’s economy.
