BEIJING, May 24 (Xinhuanet) -- Unrest is continuing for a fourth day, in several suburbs of the Swedish capital Stockholm.

Groups of youths have been on the streets throwing stones, breaking windows and setting cars alight. One police officer was injured in the latest violence, which saw five arrests for attempted arson. The trouble has all been taking place after nightfall.

Attackers have damaged stores, schools, a police station and an arts and crafts center. The unrest began in the Husby area of northwestern Stockholm on Sunday evening, and spread to other poor suburbs by Wednesday.

The riots appear to have been sparked when the police killed a 69-year-old man who was wielding a machete in Husby, which prompted accusations of police brutality.
