BEIJING, May 2 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese Foreign Minster Wang Yi has met with the Prime Minister of Thailand, Yingluck Shinawatra, in Bangkok.
During Wednesday’s talks, Yingluck said Thailand is willing to deepen cooperation with China through communication and trade. She added that Thailand will continue to facilitate cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
Wang says China’s new leadership will continue to make efforts to boost the friendship between the two countries. He suggested deepening cooperation with Thailand in water management, railways, new energy and education, as well as expanding exchanges in science, defense and tourism.
Wang arrived in Thailand on Tuesday, on the first leg of his 6-day tour of Southeast Asia.
