BEIJING, March 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Eight suicide bombers have attacked a police headquarters in eastern , killing 5 officers and wounding 4 others. The attack involved a bomb-laden car and 7 attackers wearing bomb vests.

Three detonated their bombs inside the compound and the other 4 were shot during a gunfight that lasted more than an hour.

According to the local police chief, some of the attackers were wearing uniforms that resembled what the NATO coalition wears. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
