BEIJING, March 3 (Xinhuanet) -- United Nations chief, Ban Ki-moon, and Syria mediator, Lakhdar Brahimi, have both expressed frustration at the failure to end the Syrian conflict.
Ban and Brahimi met in Switzerland to discuss the issue. In a joint statement, they expressed regret that the Syrian government and armed opposition forces had become increasingly reckless with human life, and stressed the importance of accountability for war crimes against humanity.
Ban also says the UN is ready to facilitate peace talks between the conflicting sides.
