BEIJING, Feb. 21 (Xinhuanet) – Voting for the highest honors in the movie industry has closed on Tuesday evening, after fierce studio campaigns in Hollywood.
More than 5,800 movie industry professionals were invited to vote in 24 categories in the Oscars. This is the first time the Oscars adopted an online balloting system in its 85-year history. The results will be announced at the award ceremony Sunday.
Steven Spielberg’s drama "Lincoln" heads in with a leading 12 nominations, followed by "Life of Pi" with 11, musical "Les Miserables" and comedy "Silver Lining Playbook" with eight apiece.
