BEIJING, Feb. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- CIA director nominee John Brennan faced tough questioning about US spy activities, including the use of drones. At a Senate confirmation hearing on Thursday, he explained the role of the CIA and himself on the drone issue.

Brennan told senators that drone strikes against terrorist targets meet “rigorous standards” and that no new legislation is needed to govern them.
