BEIJING, Jan. 30 (Xinhuanet) -- ’s military has set up a special emergency panel to monitor a possible nuclear test in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. South Korea’s Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that it believes the had almost completed preparations for a test, and could launch it at any time.
The emergency panel is set up by South Korea’s Joint Staff, and will reportedly make full use of state power and information provided by experts. South Korea also set up a special geological department for receiving and analysing any signals of a nuclear test by its northern neighbour.
Last week, Pyongyang said it would launch more rockets and carry out another nuclear test in protest at toughened international sanctions, after its satellite launch in December.
