BEIJING, Dec. 20 (Xinhuanet) -- China and the have kicked off the plenary session of annual trade talks to promote business ties, in Washington.
Chinese Vice Premier co-chaired the 23rd Session of the China-US Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade with acting US Commerce Secretary Rebecca Blank and US Trade Representative Ron Kirk.
Established in 1983, the JCCT is a platform for China and the United States to promote trade relations and address issues of mutual concern. Experts believe the commission will have a positive impact on Sino-US trade ties.
