TAIYUAN, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- An explosion at a restaurant in north China's Shanxi Province on Friday evening killed at least eight people and injured another 37, local authorities said.

The explosion took place at 7:52 p.m. and then triggered a fire at the hotpot restaurant in Shouyang County of Jinzhong, the local sources said. Full story
