What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Tibet? The plateau in Southwest China is not only well known for its beautiful scenery, but also for its natural wool products, such as Thangka paintings and aprons. An exhibition of local handicrafts is currently on show in Lhasa. Hundreds of craftsmen have been invited to the exhibition to demonstrate their skills for visitors. On display are aprons, rugs and Thangkas made by great masters. Wool products are used by local people in their daily lives, and the weaving skills of the Tibetan ethnic group has a very long tradition. In addition to the fine artwork, local operas and traditional dances will be performed at the exhibiton. It will last until June 17th.
