Thousands of protesters have gathered in Cairo and Alexandria to express their anger over former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's sentencing. Mubarak was sentenced to life in prison for failing to stop the killing of protesters during the uprising that forced him from power last year. But he and his two sons were acquitted of corruption charges. This has done little to satisfy demands and left many Egyptians frustrated. Some protesters in Cairo chanted slogans calling for Mubarak's execution. The charges related to killing protesters carried a possible death sentence that the judge chose not to impose.
