China has pledged to boost parliamentary exchanges with Luxembourg to promote bilateral ties. China's top legislator, Wu Bangguo, made the statement while meeting with the president of Luxembourg's Chamber of Deputies, Laurent Mosar. Mosar welcomed Wu, saying his visit is the most important meeting of leaders from both countries this year. Wu thanked Luxembourg for its efforts to promote Sino-European ties. He also mentioned the fruitful bilateral cooperation in areas like finance, steel, airfreight and culture. Wu suggested the two countries keep up exchanges between parliaments to enhance mutual understanding. Mosar echoed Wu's words, saying Luxembourg's Chamber of Deputies is looking forward to broadening the cooperation with China's National People's Congress. Luxembourg is the third stop of Wu's four-European nation tour, which also includes the Netherlands, Croatia and Spain.
