Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang is currently on an official visit to Belgium. He has met with King Albert and Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo. Li has called on both sides to further advance political, economic and cultural ties. In his talks with King Albert, Li Keqiang said relations between China and Belgium have seen vigorous development in recent years. During an earlier meeting with the Belgian Prime Minister, Li Keqiang said he hoped that Belgium would further develop the Chinese market, as it was the first EU country to transfer technology to China. He also said China would create a fair legal and policy environment for foreign businesses in China. Belgium is the third leg of Li’s European visit after Russia and Hungary.
