Hainan Province has received approval to build wharf in the Xisha Islands. It’s part of plans to develop the tourism industry. The State Oceanic Administration has issued a brief statement on its website. The wharf will be built on Jinqing Island in the Xishas. It will occupy more than 300 hectares of marine area. The wharf is designed to provide services and materials for the development of tourism and fishery industries in the South China Sea.
