General Secretary Hu Jintao of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has met Kim Yong Il, the Korean Workers' Party Director of International Affairs at the Great Hall of the People on Monday.

President Hu once again congratulated DPRK leader Kim Jong Un on becoming First Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea. Hu says the Chinese government and the CPC remain unswervingly committed to continuously developing the friendly cooperation between the two countries.

And, China is willing to expand pragmatic cooperation in various fields, and promote lasting peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia. Kim Yong Il says the DPRK is committed to pushing forward the friendly relationship between the two parties and two nations.
