形态特征:龙胆科龙胆属多年生草本植物,高30-60厘米。根粗壮,黄棕色。茎单一,斜升或直立。基生叶较大,披针形,先端尖,全缘,平滑无毛,茎生叶较小。聚伞花序由多数花簇生枝头或腋生作轮状,花冠蓝色或蓝紫色。蒴果长椭圆形。种子距圆形,棕色,表面细网状。花果期7-10月。
生境分布:中生植物,生于山地草甸、林缘、灌丛与沟谷中。分布于我国东北、华北、西北、四川。蒙古、西伯利亚和远东地区也有。
用途:根入药,能祛风湿、退虚热、止痛,主治风湿性关节炎、低热、小儿疳积发热。
