即中国国际黄河文化节，从1991年起，于每年9月中旬在银川举办，一般为期10天左右。
“天下黄河富宁夏”，自古以来，宁夏与黄河有着不解的缘份，并形成了典型的黄河文化。在黄河文化节期间，游客可以领略到典型的中国西部风光和浓郁的穆斯林风情，观赏到雄浑奔腾的百里黄河和典型的黄河民间文化活动。每届节日举办都有大型民族歌舞、民间文艺、杂技、秦腔等艺术团体演出，节日期间还举办丰富多彩的《中国现代名人书画展》、《贺兰山岩画展》、《旅游商品展》、《穆斯林食品展》等。
节日期间将安排内容丰富的黄河文化游览活动，参加者可看到3万年前古人类活动遗址、数百里秦代及明代长城、汉墓群、魏晋南北朝的大型石窟、神秘的西夏王朝陵园、奇特的沙漠湖泊等黄河文化古迹。
