      发酵法制乙醇时副产的以戊醇为主的高级醇混合物。黄色或带褐色的油状液体,有特殊的窒息性气味,有毒性。大致组成(%)为:戊醇80、丁醇15、其他醇5。主要用作脲醛树脂、聚苯乙烯、紫胶、虫胶和纤维酯的溶剂以及用于制取增塑剂、浮选剂等,也可用来提取戊醇,或作为燃料。
  
  杂醇油的生成是由于发酵原料中高级醇和蛋白质的降解所致,其组成和产率与原料和发酵条件有关(见表)。
