一种萜。分子式c10h16。存在于小豆蔻油、牛至油和芫荽油中 。α-松油烯常与γ-松油烯作为混合物同时存在。α-松油烯为无色流动性液体,具有柑橘香味。沸点177.2℃,相对密度0.8502(20/4℃),无光学活性。α-松油烯与亚硝酸钠在乙酸中生成亚硝酯肟酸(熔点155℃),此反应可用于本品的检出 。γ- 松油烯沸点183℃ ,相对密度0.849(20/4℃)。α-松油烯一般由合成方法得到,可从α-蒎烯(见蒎烯)、消旋柠檬烯、α-菲兰烯用硫酸异构化制备;或从α-松油醇用草酸脱水,或从α-蒎烯在催化剂二氧化锰存在下加热得到。主要用于制造精油和香料。
