| 工会 labor union 工人阶级的群众性组织。在工人阶级与资产阶级斗争的过程中建立和发展起来的，其宗旨是维护工人群众的利益。产生于18世纪中叶的英国，以后在其他一些国家相继建立。按产业系统建立的工会，称为产业工会；按职业系统建立的工会，称为职业工会。在资本主义国家中，工会有的是由无产阶级或由进步分子领导的，是捍卫工人群众利益，教育和领导工人开展反对资产阶级斗争的组织；有的工会被工人贵族、右翼社会党人所把持，成为资产阶级破坏和分裂工人运动的工具。在社会主义国家，工会是由共产党领导下的工人阶级的群众组织，是共产党联系工人群众的纽带，是无产阶级专政的支柱之一，是对工人进行共产主义教育的学校，在加强企业管理，发扬企业民主和保护职工利益方面发挥着重要的作用。中国工会有着光荣的历史。1921年7月中国共产党诞生后，在上海设立中国劳动组合书记部，作为全国工会总通讯联络机关。1925年5月成立了中华全国总工会，1927年后被迫转入地下，1948年8月恢复。中华人民共和国建立后，工会组织蓬勃发展，中华全国总工会成为中国工会的最高领导机构。 |
