偶氮二异丁腈也有称丁腈,简称AIBN.分子量164.21,白色柱状结晶或白色粉末状结晶,熔点102~104℃。溶于甲醇、乙醇、乙醚、丙酮、石油醚和苯胺等有机溶剂。遇热分解放出氮气和含-(CH2)2-C-CN基有机氰化物。分解温度64℃。室温下缓慢分解,100 ℃急剧分解.能引起爆炸着火,易燃。有毒。放出的氮气和有机氰化物对人体危害较大。
用作醋酸乙烯和丙烯酸酯等聚合或共聚合的引发剂。也可用作发泡剂。
贮存于干燥、通风、避光和温度10℃以下的库房内,因为室温下缓慢分解,在30℃贮存数月显著变质。远离火种、热源。
