| 岩高兰科 Empetraceae 双子叶植物纲五桠果亚纲的一科。共3属约10种，主要分布于欧洲、亚洲和南北美洲的寒带近两极的地方。中国仅产岩高兰属。该属约2种，分布于北温带和北极地区，南美亚南极地区也有。中国有1变种。常绿匍匐状小灌木，枝稠密。叶互生，线形或线状长矩圆形，密生于枝上。花小，单性同株或异株。1～3朵花生于小枝上部叶腋内，苞片3（4），萼片6花瓣状 ，花瓣缺；雄蕊（2）3，突出于花萼；子房上位；6～9室，每室有胚珠1枚，柱头与子房室同数，肉质浆果暗蓝紫色至黑色。在中国分布于东北长白山与大兴安岭。外形美观，可作盆景。 |
