According to the features of northwestern rural areas,the village Jianfuqiao design makes an effort in appropriate technologies of ecological architecture such as solar use,optimized biomass energy and ecological building materials,in order to set an example for rural construction of the underdeveloped areas in China.

Although many scholars study the necessity and feasibility of biomass-energy development and utilization, most of them focus on two aspects: one is from a pure technical view; the other is from macro perspective.

The backgrounds of biomass utilization policy were introduced in China: to ensure energy security, protect environment, promote eco-society sustainable development.
