In accordance with the recorded information in The Sequel to the Diary of WU Mi,17th February 1954,the author of A Recriticism on A Dream of Red Mansions went to Beibei in Chongqing to visit the famous scholar WU Mi,and he wrote a poem to thank WU Mi and other hosts after 5 days when he was going home.

This paper used the income and expenditure records in Wuyu′s diary to analyze the consumption ratio differences of the modern middle-class ,who lived in Chengdu and Beijing, and the changes of the consumption structure trigged from the differences,to reveal the social and historical reasons of these changes .
