辟邪 我国古代传说中的一种神兽,似狮而带翼。《急就篇》:“射鬾辟邪除群凶。”唐颜师古注:“射鬾、辟邪、皆神兽名。……辟邪、言能辟御妖邪也。”《小尔雅·广言》:“辟,除也。”可见辟邪之义,是驱走邪秽,被除不祥。古代织物、军旗、带钩、印纽、钟纽等物,常用辟邪为饰,《博古图》有辟邪车。南朝陵墓前常有辟邪石雕。据考古界研究“辟邪”即“符拔”。现都统称“辟邪”。
