1.纪念和祭祀孔子的祠庙。多省称"孔庙"。以山东曲阜孔庙为最早﹑最大。曲阜孔庙原为孔子故宅，鲁哀公时立庙，历代迭加增修，至明中叶扩至现存规模。主要建筑物有大成殿﹑奎文阁﹑碑亭等。大成殿前有杏坛，传说为孔子讲学处。唐贞观时，下诏各州县皆立孔庙。
