毕业生应获得以下几方面的知识和能力：

主干课程：
主干学科：中国语言文学、外国语言文学
主要课程：基础英语、英语写作、英汉翻译、现代、古代汉语、中国文学、外国文学、中国文化通论、西方文化与礼仪、国外汉学研究；语言学概论、对外汉语教学概论等。
主要实践性教学环节：包括参观访问、社会调查和教学实习等，一般安排8周左右。
