LIU Xie who is a Comprehensive critic of conception of aesthetic verse in Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties period,thinks that aesthetic verse includes three basic principles that are "the pattern of shapes","the pattern of sounds" and "the pattern of the affections" in "the Affections and Coloration of the Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons".
