critical age

  关键年龄(eritieal oge)儿童心理发展过程中一个迅速的质变飞跃的年龄时期。在此年龄阶段内儿童最易获取某种知识,并且收效最大。如2一3岁是儿童口头语言发展的关键年龄,4一5岁是儿童学习书面语言的关键年龄等。关键年龄概念是从动物产生印刻现象的关键期引申而来的。印刻现象发生在动物出生后一个极短暂的时期,若错过此时期则不能再形成,故对动物说来非常重要。而儿童的关键年龄则不像动物关键期那样界限分明,也不像动物那样错过关键期就不能再补回,它是可以修改和矫正的。 (白学军撰林索德审)
