The lip-shaped defects on the surface of the hot rolled coil of X70 pipeline steel were analyzed by using metallographic microscope,and the results indicated that such defects were formed in the process of hot rolling,mainly caused by partial overcooling due to excessive water spray.

』ieba结疤(sPlash)冷凝在钢锭表面上的金属珠聚集物，也称飞溅。多在钢锭下部出现。上注开浇时注流冲击模底或下注时开浇过猛都会引起飞溅，溅到钢锭模壁上的金属液滴迅速冷凝并氧化，随后被上升的钢液凝结在钢锭表面上便形成结疤。注流不正或流散，以及盛钢捅转移时水廿关不严产生的滴流都可能造成结疤。上注钢锭比下注钢锭以及沸腾钢钢锭比镇静钢钢锭的结疤较严重。钢锭表面上的结疤会在轧材上形成疤皮。因此，结疤应在钢锭精整时预先铲除。浇注时注流对正，开浇平稳，上注时钢锭模内设置防溅筒，以及采用钢锭模涂油、快速上注以及惰性气体保护浇注等措施，都可有效地防止或减轻结疤的产生。 (汪建农)
