During construction of the earthnail retaining wall a poor drainage was caused by continuous rainfall,rain water entered back the earthnail retaining wall through the underground drains near the foundation pit\'s southern slope,together with non-standard construction methods,hence large areas of collapse have occurred in quite a few earthnail retaining wall and slope under construction.

Through discussion on pipe material determination,optimization design,through fault,formation treatment,standard construction,which hope to enhance recognition of large diameter pipeline engineering design and execution attentions and adopted measures and enhance large diameter pipeline engineering quality.

Stipulations in relevant construction codes for buildings, and highways, bridges and culverts on the material and performance index of slurry are discussed and analyzed.

The code takes shield construction codes in Japan and Europe as references.
