This paper attempts to analyze the characteristics of DMU Maritime English teaching and IMO s Maritime English MODEL Course.

Building the characteristics of English courses and Teaching systems of International cooperation education;

New curriculum reform to students a comprehensive ability to use language as the overall objective of English courses.

Under new context,the English course in secondary vocational school have the function of paving the way for vocation,disseminating cultural knowledge,applying in communication and lifelong development.

This paper probes into the function and status of English course in Distance Education by analyzing its characteristics and the tutor\'s influences on student\'s English language acquisition.

Because of the English courses complexity itself,the implementation of English curriculum should deal with many factors,such as testing or assessing,teachers role and ability,students aptitudes towards language learning and their learning strategies,textbook,curriculum management,classroom climate,cultural conflicts,support from family and society,etc.

The problem of the reform of the English curriculum is under consideration and under discussion in primary school,middle school and college and the fulfillment of the English curriculum criteria is in full swing in middle school.

This paper studies the necessity and principles of introducing "Intensification" into English curriculum for foreign-related specialties in higher vocational institutions through analyzing the disadvantages of present English curriculum,and it also presents the specific constructing proposals and meanings of "Intensification" English curriculum structure.
