This paper puts forward the following arguments: 1) his Lun shi sanshi shou(Thirty Poems on Poetry) did not represent his poetic thoughts;2) the tenet that he relied upon to study poetry was "sincerity",which was originated from the School of Principle and echoed the interests of Song Learning;3) His research on poetry,which was influenced by Tang poets,however,reflected the spirit of Song poetry.
