1.古人年老预制送终之具;六十岁时,在一年内预制棺木;七十岁时,预制一季可做成的送终衣物;八十岁时,预制一月可做成的送终衣物;到九十岁,棺木衣物都已预制完毕,就日日修整以作送终之用。见《礼记.王制》。后以"日制"指死亡就在旦夕。
