杨梅
Myrica rubra;bayberry
    杨梅科杨梅属常绿小乔木或灌木。亚热带果树。又称朱红、树梅。原产中国。广泛分布于中国长江以南的许多省(自治区),以浙江栽培最多。叶倒卵状长椭圆形。核果圆球形,核坚硬,栽培品种有数十个。按果实色泽可分为白种、红种、粉红种、乌种4类。性喜温暖、湿润、多云雾的环境,适于轻松而排水良好的酸性土壤。实生、压条或嫁接繁殖均可,嫁接砧木多用本砧。主要害虫有杨梅毛虫、蚜虫、天牛等。果实柔软多汁,味甜美,但不易贮藏和运输。除鲜食外,主要用以制作蜜饯、果汁、果酒和罐头等。树形优美,是良好的观赏树和水土保持用树。
