| 热成风 thermal wind 地转风在铅直方向上的速度矢量差。因为地转风的大小和等压面上的重力位势梯度成正比，因而热成风的大小必和上层等压面与下层等压面之间的厚度（即两等压面间的重力位势差）梯度大小成正比。按照大气静力学关系，两等压面之间的平均气温越大，其厚度也越大，因此，热成风的大小必和上层等压面与下层等压面之间的平均气温梯度大小成正比，这就是热成风一词的由来。 热成风的方向与两等压面间的等平均温度线平行，在北半球，顺热成风方向看，高气温在右，低气温在左；南半球则相反。对于正压大气，等压面上的温度梯度为零，故不存在热成风；对于斜压大气，等压面上有温度梯度，必存在热成风。因为自由大气中大尺度运动的实际风接近于地转风 ，故自由大气中大尺度运动实际风随高度的变化可近似地用热成风来表征。因此，地转风和热成风，反映着自由大气中大尺度运动的风场、气压场、温度场之间最基本的关系。 |
