The conceptual model for the pedestrian leg protection and low-speed impact characteristics of vehicle bumper system is developed and the analysis on the design of experiment for the model is conducted.

Study on Simulation Methods of Pedestrian Leg Impact Safety and Bumper Parameter Optimization;

Pedestrian protection is a new field of vehicle safety research.

Since the research on pedestrian protection in China mostly concentrates to Computer Simulation,a research method in the field of data mining,called multi-dimensional association rule method is introduced,which helps analyzing the large amounts of pedestrian traffic accident records.

Taking a Changcheng passenger car as example,on which a pedestrian protection project is implemented,the simulation analysis and testing for pedestrian protection and their comparative analysis are presented.
