In the study of folklore,studying superstition is very important link,making a study on folkways phenomena similar to Longwang beliefs not only makes us objectively understand history,but also makes us know productive mechanism of the traditional beliefs through further study,and privides scientific basis for changing prevailing habits and customs in the period of socialism.

Proceeding with the egoism,lack of love and faith, malice and the dread of death,this essay analyses the relationship between the work and Schopenhauer\'s philosophy of life,and explains the universal values in America after the First World War,and it further shows and reconstructs the pessimistic meaning in human existence.
