杭州景德灵隐禅寺禅师，名崇岳，生处州龙泉吴氏。孝宗隆兴二年，得度于杭州西湖白莲精舍。游方参请，最后见密庵杰禅师于衢州西山。密庵移建康蒋山、华藏，杭之径山，皆侍从之。密庵开室问僧：不是心、不是佛、不是物？师侍侧，忽大悟。密庵迁灵隐，命师居第一座。旋出世，平江澄照，为密庵嗣。迁江阴光孝、无为治父、饶州荐福、明州香山、平江虎丘。宁宗庆元三年，诏住灵隐。庆元六年，上章乞老，帝许之，退居东庵。嘉泰二年八月四日，手书别交旧公卿。垂语于学者曰：有力量人，因甚抬脚不起？又曰：开口不在舌头上。贻书嗣法弟子香山光睦．云居善开．嘱以阐法。书偈曰：来无所来，去无所去。瞥转玄关，佛祖罔措。跏趺而寂。寿七十一岁，腊四十九夏，塔全身北高峰之原(行业碑刻)
