云南省大理市恢复重建的唐代著名古迹崇圣寺大雄宝殿内，日前装放一幅长一百一十七米、高一．七米的《宋时大理国描工张胜温画梵像》木雕画卷，这是“木雕之乡”──云南省剑川县百名工匠历时七个月的精湛作品，也是目前我国最长的木雕画卷。
据了解，在我国艺术史上有“金玉瑰宝”之誉的《宋时大理国描工张胜温画梵像》，成画距今已有八百三十多年，纸本全长一千六百三十六．五公分，高三十．四公分，生动反映当时大理地区的政治、经济、文化等状况，有极高的艺术价值。
据了解，大理市文化局投资二百万元（约二十四万余美元），将《宋时大理国描工张胜温画梵像》按比例放大，请“木雕之乡”剑川县工匠选用上好禾木精心雕刻，在崇圣寺大雄宝殿四壁组成一幅再现历史名画的木雕画卷，画中人物、动物、山水呼之欲出，画卷具有较高的艺术价值和观赏性。
