In order to study the transmitting characteristics of ultrasonic guided wave in partly embedded guardrail post and select the suitable guided waves mode and frequency for inspecting post length,authors calculated and analyzed the guide wave group velocities,attenuation and dispersion in unembedded part and buried part of the posts respectively on the basis of elastic dynamics theory.

Using finite-element method the effects of long objects, such as cage, train and metal pit prop, on electromagnetic wave cutoff frequency is researched systematically in regular tunnels, and it is shown that the long metal objects lower TE wave cutoff frequency and raise TM wave cutoff frequency.
利用有限元方法系统地研究了机车、罐笼、金属支护立柱等长列金属物体对井下规则隧道中电磁波截止频率的影响,可知长列金属物体的存在使TE波模截止频率降低,而使TM波模截止频率升高。
