Haocao gong and drum is the labor folk song unique in Tujia people of Wuling area and it forms the song cycle consistent with the labor time of the day,which mainly consists of Getou,qingshen,Yangge and Songshen with colorful music forms,genres,arias and tones;song words are divided into fixed and impromptu words and its content aims to improve labor enthusiasm and labor efficiency.
薅草锣鼓是武陵地区土家族人民特有的劳动歌谣,它是按一天的劳动时间而形成的声乐套曲,主要由歌头、请神、扬歌、送神四部分组成;曲体、体裁、唱腔、调式多姿多彩;歌词分固定歌词和即兴歌词,内容主要是以提高劳动热情和劳动效率服务。
