| 函授教育 correspondence education 运用通讯方式进行的教育。学员利用业 余时间，以自学函授教材为主，由函授学校给予辅导与考核，并在一定时间进行短期集中学习和就地委托辅导。 函授教育起源于19世纪60年代英国的大学推广运动，80年代后各资本主义国家始设函授学校。在中国，商务印书馆曾于1914年创设函授学社。中华人民共和国建立后，函授教育有了很大发展。1951年，东北实验学校设立函授部，北京成立函授师范学校。1953年，中国人民大学和东北师范大学开始举办函授，此后逐渐扩大到理、工、农、医各类高等学校。其中以师范函授教育发展规模最大，速度最快。高等学校举办的函授教育，参照全日制高等学校相应专业的教学计划和教学大纲进行教学，并进行严格的考试。考试成绩合格者，其水平达到相当全日制高校同类专业水平，由举办学校发给毕业证书，国家承认其学历。学完单科，考试成绩合格的，发给学习成绩证明书。 |
