财、法不能惠施曰悭。此专言悭吝于法,而不施与人者,得七种报。
[一、生盲报],谓从母胎出,便不能见日月光明,名为生盲。由其宿世悭吝法故,于现生中,而得此报也。
[二、愚痴报],谓于诸法中迷惑不了,名为愚痴。由其宿世悭吝法故,于现生中,而得此报也。
[三、生恶家报],谓不信三宝,造作重罪,名为恶家,又有冤之家,亦名恶家。由其宿世悭吝法故,于现生中,而得此报也。
[四、胎夭报],胎夭者,胎中夭死也。由其宿世悭吝法故,于现生中,而得此报也。
[五、物恐报],物恐者,谓为一切恶物恐怖也。由其宿世悭吝法故,于现生中,而得此报也。
[六、善人远离报],善人远离者,谓贤善之人,悉皆远离,而不亲近。由其宿世悭吝法故,于现生中,而得此报也。
[七、无恶不作报],无恶不作者,谓于一切恶无所不作也。由其宿世自既悭法,亦教人悭法,灭佛法种,三世十方诸佛,以为冤贼,是以于现生中,而得此报也。(三世者,过去、现在、未来也。)
