| 砗磲科 Tridacnidae；giant clam 软体动物门双壳纲帘蛤目的一科。分布于印度-西太平洋热带海洋，共6种，中国南海岛屿均有分布。砗磲的贝壳大而厚，两壳同形。壳面粗糙，具有隆起的放射肋和肋间沟，有的种类肋上长有粗大的鳞片。贝壳边缘呈波浪状或具齿。足丝孔大，紧位于壳顶的前方。生活时壳顶向下，腹面向上，由足丝孔伸出坚硬的足丝固着在珊瑚礁上。砗磲的贝壳大而美丽，可做工艺品，肉可食用。
