By the conjoining of analysis on linguistic features and cognitive mechanism,this thesis applies the General Theory of Verbal Humor(GTVH) to the analysis of textual evidence,aiming at elucidating the formation of humorous effect,and ultimately revealing the formation of style of humorous texts.
