| 抛物线 parabola 二次曲线的一种。平面上到一个定点F 的距离与到一条定直线l 的距离相等的动点的轨迹 。定点F 称为抛物线的焦点，定直线l 称为抛物线的准线 。抛物线的标准方程为y2＝2px，p称为焦参数，焦点F 的坐标为（  ，0），准线l 的方程为 。抛物线有一条对称轴，如图中的x轴。对称轴与抛物线的交点，称为抛物线的顶点，如图中坐标原点。探照灯的反射镜面通常就是用一段抛物线绕它的对称轴旋转而成的曲面（旋转抛物面），这是因为从焦点发出的光线经旋转抛物面反射后成为一束与对称轴平行的光线。
