诉诸情感传播(eommunication byfeeling)通过情感的渠道而进行的传播。许多心理实验证实,传播时诉诸情感更容易在近期内收到效果。般来说,较强烈的情感比较弱的情感的近期效果更明显。诉诸情感的传播效果也受受传者自信程度、受教育程度、兴趣等因素的制约。美国心理学家利文撤尔(Howard Leventhal)等人研究发现,最可能被高度恐惧激起行为的人是那些高度自信的人。而缺乏自信的人在引起巨大恐惧的传播情境下,往往不能立即行动。另外一些实验指出,如果人们受教育程度高,即使是高度恐惧的情境,传播也可能没什么效果:对信息内容感兴趣的人更容易受到诉诸情感的传播的影响。 (林向前撰!巫巫困审)
