According to the concept of instantaneous velocity center,the simple expression for the pressure angle of cylindrical cam mechanisms with oscillating roller follower can be derived,and the CAD graphical method to optimize the minimum average cylinder radius is put forward, and processing for designing cylindrical cam mechanisms based on AutoCAD is introduced.

According to the concept of instantaneous velocity center,the simple expression for determining position of velocity center is derived,and the CAD graphical method for designing theory profile curve of parallel index cam is carried out.

By using definition of instantaneous velocity center, this paper put forward a CAD animation method and combined designing cam profile curve and calculating cutter center track of the cam mechanism with straight moving follower.
